Rudy Project at Dakar 2006

The Correos team and Rudy Project - together for Dakar 2006. The Italian company, word leader in the technical eyewear market, goggles and sports accessories, was sponsor and official supplier for the Spanish team that notched up a great result in the Dakar rally which has just ended.

The challenging trial which started in Lisbon on December 31st 2005 was so arduous and bristling with obstacles that only a few of the 252 competitors who entered actually made it across the finishing line.

Among the leaders were Xacob Agra and Gerard Farres, two riders from the Correos team on Yamaha bikes who wore the Klonyx Mx goggle created by Rudy Project from the very latest materials, with advanced properties to guarantee total protection even under extreme climatic conditions. The perilous dunes of the desert and the dangerous sandstorms, brilliantly handled by the team, were the testing ground for new technologies which will soon be available in the Rudy Project collection.
